What a Typical Bathroom Project Looks Like

Example Project: Bathroom & Walk-In Shower Upgrade

Walk in Shower with Brown Porcelain Tiles

Here’s a typical bathroom project we handle all the time. In this example, the homeowners wanted to replace an old fiberglass tub with a walk-in shower and update the floor tile at the same time. We started by checking the framing, plumbing locations, and subfloor to make sure everything could handle a new tile shower without future leaks or movement.

From there, we lay out the tile so grout lines line up across the floor, shower walls, and niche instead of looking random. We plan drain location, slopes, and curb height so water flows exactly where it should and the shower still feels comfortable to stand in. Waterproofing is done before a single tile is set, using proper membranes and sealed corners.

During the job, we protect nearby areas, keep dust down, and phase the work so at least one bathroom in the home stays usable. The end result is a solid, fully waterproof shower with straight lines, clean corners, and slip-resistant floor tile, built to be used every day, not just photographed once and forgotten.
